When your painting a new piece, there is always that moment when you don't know if its going to work out or not. But you push through and hopefully it all comes together like you hope. Sometimes it doesn't and you have to rework your sketch,colour palette or idea altogether until it does work! This painting was the exception though, because all the elements came together nicely, and it was such a joy to paint.
I decided to paint selected elements separately, before cutting them out and bringing them together as a completed collage. The effect is a 3 dimensional, which I really like!

Every comment boosts me up and makes me smile :D Makes me feel like maybe I've got a good thing going here :) I will try to keep up the regular posting too. After my break, I've got so many of ideas and my enthusiasm to share is brimming over!

Oh sweet Kaili, another beautiful piece. I love reading your process and it's pretty much the same as mine when it comes to sewing. :)
