After the deluge

For all those who have sent me emails and messages, thank you. While my home city and state has experienced the worst natural disaster in its history, my family and I were very lucky to be well away from the danger zone and we are safe and sound.  Unfortunately countless numbers of people have lost everything including loved ones. After the deluge and devastation, it has been heartwarming to see how a whole city of people, literally thousands  of volunteers have pulled together to help neighbours and strangers. Its amazing how out of such devastation, the very best in people are found.

I'm so glad your family is safe and away from the disaster zone. Disasters do tend to bring together a community.

This catastrophy is so horrible. I can´t even imagine how big the distruction is in Australia this days.
I hope the water goes back soon, so that the wounds of the people and the country can heal.
Hava a good weekend
